The MGPA’s charter expresses support and promotion of local enterprises. We are pleased to promote the new Shine Bright Early Years Hub being built in the Villawood Estate. It is well on the way as the linked video of the buildings slab shows. Such a significant development in Maiden Gully during this current pandemic is most encouraging; giving hope for a prosperous future. Once established it will provide additional child care for our growing under fives population, local employment and an educational training facility for the tertiary sector of Bendigo. The link to their flyer calls for expressions of interest for early enrolment.

Mark Needham has recently taken up the position of neighbourhood coordinator for Foodshare. He has provided a series of links covering a multitude of services available to Maiden Gully residents during the pandemic. It is a comprehensive collection of services with relevant information that may help you or equip you to help your neighbours through this current crisis.

It is with regret that we inform you of our decision to cancel the Autumn Festival that was to be held at Balgownie Estate Winery on Sunday 17th. May, 2020 due to the implications of COVID-19.
In this daily changing Coronavirus landscape, we believe this is the responsible decision in the interests and safety of all community members, volunteers, stall holders, entertainers and organisers.
We hope this passes quickly without significant harm to you and the community and that we will be able to hold the Festival in the future.
This decision follows the recommendation from Australia’s Chief Medical Officer and the Government that all non-essential mass gatherings over 500 people should be cancelled to limit the spread of the virus.

President MGPA. Festival Co-ordinators.
